This is the first journal I ever made. I used mulberry paper for the corners and the spine as well as for the back of it. I stamped it with some of my favorite sets back then. Up in the Air and Old World Map. I am still sad, Stampin' Up! retired those. I used big fasteners instead of ribbon. This was a stamp camp project for my customers back in Illinois.

Awesome, Beate! That is a great idea to use Mulberry paper on the mat board. I better go make 15 more! ha ha! So do the paper fasteners work good to hold everything together or do you recommend ribbon instead?

The paper fastener work well, as long as you use the regular size ones that you can get at any store at the office supply section. I think they almost work better than ribbon. They hold it together tighter.
