This card uses So Many Scallops and Bitty Birthday sets to create a simple birthday card. I frayed the Real Red grosgrain ribbon behind the scallop to give it a more "festive" look. I punched two holes in the scalloped portion, cut the ribbon ends lengthwise, pulled the ribbon in and out the holes, then pulled it apart to fray it. I thought doing it this way would make it easier to keep the ribbon in place and not make as much of a mess when the ribbon was frayed. It was fun!

That fraying is such a great effect. I could see it on fourth of july cards too, or with bees or dragonflys or something. It almost looks like it is showing wing motion. Thanks for sharing this.
