Another SC161 card. This is a b-day card for our eldest daughter, Jeani. Jeani loved her dad's b-day card using the "Always" bird, so I made her a vintage more girlie version using this beautiful bird EB with Not Quite Navy craft ink and clear EB powder. I had so much fun distressing every layer with my cutter kit distressing wheel. Also added sewing and lots of sponging to add to the vintage look. I used leslierich's TP'ing technique on the main image and sentiment flower. Jeani is also a stamper and is going to love and appreciate all the different techniques. Enjoy and TFL

Even a non-stamper would have to appreciate all the work--and love--that went into this. All the distressing and ageing looks terrific. I like how you popped the bird up on dimensionals to give it depth. It looks like you used a linen-textured paper for the scalloped part behind your sentiment. That really adds a nice detail, too.
Very pretty, Nancy! Jeani will love it for sure! I love the bird, popped up, the textured pieces and wonderful job of sewing! Can't wait to get this set!

A beautiful, feminine version of your previous card! I love all the distressing, shading and dimension. Nice to see more of your sewing, too! The paper almost looks like frayed fabric--very pretty!
