The challenge is to use pretty things. The main image panel is a very wide piece of ribbon by Offray called Emily. I've had this ribbon for over a year and never used it. When I bought it I didn't know what I'd do with it, but it was just too pretty to pass up.
I stamped the little black butterfly on vellum (another pretty thing) then cut it out and used a glue dot to hold it in place. The butterfly trail is stamped directly on the ribbon. The white butterfly was also stamped on vellum and embossed in white. I then stamped the script over it with StazOn.
I added a ruched ribbon instead of a bow or know for something different. The mauve layer of paper is actually part of a large paint chip sample.

Wow, that might just be the most beautiful ribbon I've seen! It certainly makes your card! The black BG is just the right balance for the bold focal. Neat challenge

WOW -- what a card!! I CAN NOT believe that main image is a piece of ribbon -- WOW -- and what a fabulous way to use it -- I am impressed!!! Your vellum butterflies are just so dainty and gorgeous and *flighty* -- I love them so much!!! Thank you so much for sharing this beauty!!!

This is such a pretty ribbon. With nothing but snow and cold here, it is a real treat to look at your pretty butterflies. It just goes to explain why we should never pass up that something we aren't sure what to do with but have to have.
