Faux Metal Technique - For this technique, choose a stamp set that's pretty much an outline, nothing that has "solid" sections of rubber.
Cut a piece of glossy cardstock that's about 1/4 of an inch larger than the image to be stamped. Apply Versamark all over the glossy cardstock, cover with embossing powder and heat set. Let it cool - this is very important, as the stamp pad can be damaged. Repeat the process to build two or three layers.
Continue to circle the heat gun over the "embossed" card stock, being careful to not hold the heat too long in one spot, as the embossing powder will scorch. The melted embossing powder should be "moving" with the heat. Stamp on it, being careful not to move the stamp. Wait a couple of minutes before removing the stamp from the card stock.
If the design does not meet your expectations, just melt down and stamp over it again. If an area was damaged or won't hold the embossing mix, apply more Versamark and embossing powder and it will adhere again.
