I spent the better part of the past week making this one. The baby is a boy, but I was hard pressed to used the traditional blues. I settled for warm earthy colors instead. Unfortunately I do not recall the paper color names.
For the lid, I made a shallow shadow box using acetate and popped up the detail (name, weight, etc) information and wrapped a fine chocolate ribbon around the foam riser to hide the harsh white.
The flowers were done using EK floral punches and I used my corner rounder to make a scalloped trim for the lid. I also added stickles to the flowers and scallops. The ribbon, although it's not really visible in the picture, is a beautiful coppery sheen. It catches the light beautifully.
I did a cut count on this project and it's approx 140 pieces. That took a while! LOL
All in all, I'm quite pleased with the end result.
Thanks for lookin'

I was right! This is a lovely gift! Beautiful job, Heather! I like it in the earth colors, rather than blues. And the cover is just gorgeous, with the picture and the trim! 140 pieces! Yikes, if I'm going to make one for my folks, I better start now!
