I had such a blast making this mailbox using Qbee's pattern. Here's her mailbox, with the link to her template: Qbee's Mailbox by Qbee at Splitcoaststampers Thank you again, Brenda, for sharing another of your wonderful templates with all of us! :o)
The only change I made was shortening the side length to 6 1/2 inches from the 8 1/2 inches she used. The proportions are more similar to those cute Target mailboxes that everyone's been altering.
The arched top piece is SU's Loves Me designer paper adhered to Close to Cocoa cardstock for more strength. The base and end pieces are Close to Cocoa cardstock - only the front flap is covered with dp.
I traced the flag shape onto chipboard, cut it out and covered it with designer paper. To make the brad attachment sturdier for the top-heavy embellished flag, I cut a 1/2 inch circle from thin white fun foam and used it as a kind of washer between the flag and the box lid.
This will be a drawing prize for a little Valentine-making get-together. I have to come up with something good to put inside for a surprise for the winner!

Cool! What a fancy mailbox, so many details and embellishments! This would be prize engough, no matter what you put in it. Are the hearts on the door die cuts?

OOHH, just adorable Linda. It looks like you had a total blast doing this. You sure did a lot of detail and chose luscious colors for this project. I am sure the winner is going to love this.
