Use paint! That was this today's Ways to Use It Challenge. I took a SHORT class in Folk Art painting when I was 13 (long ago) and I have practiced it on my own only a teensy bit since. My Mom is the only person who has ever received anything I've made with this technique...So I guess she will be getting this card too!
I painted everything freehand because I did not have any stencils or stamps of the fruit. I did however refer to images in a wonderful book of Folk Art by Kate Coombe.
Hope you enjoy it! Thanks for looking!

MY GOODNESS, WHAT TALENT. THIS IS BEAUTIFUL. I COULD TAKE LESSONS FROM NOW TIL THE COWS COME HOME AND I'D STILL NEVER BE ABLE TO PAINT LIKE THIS. MARVELOUS CARD.
Your fruit is gorgeous. And free hand to boot. I think you need to do more as it is certainly realistic looking and your colors were mixed beautifully. Did you paint them on white paper and cut them out and pop over the black? The contrast is fantastic but I couldn't figure that out.
