Hi Everyone! I was really excited about the color and sketch challenges posted this week. I think both are fantastic ones... I love Rose Red and Apricot Appeal, and this sketch is so versatile - I know I'll be using it again and again. Thanks Emily and Roxie!
I embossed the big flower with Versamark/Rose Red ink, and used Iridescent Ice EP/heatgun to set it. Then I drew on the outer edges of each petal with the Versamark Embossing Pen and sprinkled Egyptian Gold EP and set with heatgun. I trimmed this out and popped it off the apricot matting, which had the edges sponged with Rose Red ink. I used the ticket corner punch on a couple of the layers, and put gold brads on the corners of the last red layer. I stamped an old SU background stamp, Lavish Lace (really pretty BTW), on my background layer and layered this too. Finally, the matted sentiment was stamped and edges sponged with Rose Red, then topped off with a couple brads and a satin ribbon knot. This was popped off the background layer.
Emily and Roxie, GREAT challenges this week... this card was ALOT of fun to put together! Thanks, everyone, for taking a closer look at my card - I appreciate that!

Just beautiful work with the flower... that eygptian gold ep is fabulous, isn't it!! I have some too - the colour is so much better than regular gold ep!! Really an outstanding card - such a lovely coloured flower!
