When I saw the Joy of Card Making Recipe 1 in the February 2008 Paper Craft issues, I knew right away that I wanted to use LilyKate dp. I thought the layout would be great to use with pretty dp.
My card base is heavy white cs. The large panel is Vanilla dp. The pretty flowery panel is Cherryl Blossom dp. I scalloped the edge with my Scallop Scissors and added a scalloped piece of Chocolate Chip cs and two flower brads before adhereing this panel to the card with Zots. (They're similar to Dimensionals, but thicker, bigger and not sponge-like.) I used Queen Ann dp to cover the chipboard flower adhering the paper with Mod Podge and a sponge brush. When the glue was dry, I sanded the edges, peeled off the backing and adhered it to the card. I stamped the hello sentiment with Timber Brown StazOn on a scrap piece of Vanilla dp, punched it out with my 3/4" circle punch and glued it to the flower.
I really like the way this turned out and can't wait to send it to someone. It's just so bright and cheerful. TFL - Regina
