I am so excited with how this page turned out! It looks exactly like I wanted it to! Dont'cha love when that happens?
The page was designed around Scrapbook Sketch 113. I added two extra squares to fit all of my pictures on one page.
The flourishes chipboard is from Fancy Pants Designs. I used Craft ink to cover them with color, and I added some transparent embossing powder on some pieces. The flourish was covered with Vanilla ink and then I used a dauber to add some Caramel ink to give it a shabby appearance to match the papers. The stylized "snowflakes" also come from the same kit.
The chipboard letters are from Basic Grey and I tried to follow the shape of the flourish when I added the letter. Love how the accent on the "e" happens to fall right on the end of the flourish! Couldn't have planned that one...
The ticket die-cuts are from the Pockets kit SU! discontinued last fall. It was Chocolate Chip and it fit with the ski theme, so it was just the perfect way to add the date to my page.
To make the journaling block, I cut a circle in some scratch paper and used the negative space as a guide to write my journaling in. Then I used the Coluzzle template again to cut a circle out of cardstock and matted it with a scalloped punch. So that it wouldn't be too bare, I added a Hodgepodge ribbon slider with a ribbon bow at the bottom.
The "cabin" sign is something I've had forever and that I had taken out on my craft table this December in hope to include it in some Christmas cards and use it once and for all. It didn't make the cut on the cards, but was the perfect final touch for my page.
Ribbons by Basic Grey (velvet and elastic ribbon) and American Crafts (brown grosgrain). Papers by Cosmo Cricket.
Thanks for looking!
