Today's Limited Supply Challenge is to create a card using no white or vanilla cardstock. I've made a card and Christmas ornament (yes, belated, I know!) for a friend I haven't seen in a while. We are still trying to schedule a get-together date!
I stamped the moose (from DD Pines) onto Choc. Chip CS in Versamark, then embossed in a mixture of Classy Copper and Gold Glory EP, giving it a burnished bronze look. (It is incredibly shiny and metallic looking IRL- doesn't show in the photo.) I cut it out with a fine detail scissors- most time consuming! I punched a tiny hole in the top for the cord, and used a straight pin in this hole to hold it while embossing (burning my fingers in the process!) Then I carefully swiped it into Versamark on the other side and embossed again. After that came two more layers of Versamark and Glassy Glaze (Utee), another layer of the copper and gold EP, and 2 more layers of Utee, on both sides. Finally, I laid on some Crystal Effects onto the moose's *rack*, and dipped that into Ranger's Snowflake Embossing Tinsel.
Behind the moose ornament I used some MFT DP, picking this pattern because I thought it looked like the Northern Lights. (OK, maybe I'm hallucinating from lack of sleep!) I stamped the *shadow* moose in Brilliance Moonlight White, and embossed with Detail White. The trees are stamped in Versamark and embossed with Ranger's Holographic EP- very sparkly. The *I Moose You* sentiment is computer generated, and the heart is punched out of Polyshrink.
It's popped up on 3 layers of foam tape for added effect.
Thanks for looking!
Happy New Year!
