Ok, so here's the story. My MIL loves to give kisses right on the lips, of which I'm not a big fan of. But since she's goes out of her way to make me feel accepted, far be it from me to turn her down. When I went to visit for the summer, the first thing she did was kiss me straight on the mouth, took me off guard, and told me to "give her some lip gloss". By the end of my visit there, it was just a thing that we would say.. "give me some lip gloss", which is our way of say we love each other.. cute huh?? So I was bound and determined to find a set of lips, for a decent price, and I did at my local stamping store ($3.50). I stamped the lips in red VersaColor and then clear embossed it. Then I covered it with Dazzling Diamonds to make it look like the shiny, sparkly lip glosses she's always buying me. (should I mention we didn't have a good start, so this is a big step for us??)
I'm sending this to her to let her know just how much I appreciate her accepting me for who I am and letting me live my life the way I want to. She's turning out to be one hell of a mother in law and I'm getting some great card ideas out of her. (I should also mention she's from France, hence all the French-obsession I have) LOL..
Thanks for looking and thanks for reading up!!!

Friends are like the walls of a house. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes you lean on them. But sometimes, it's enough to know they're just standing by.

You did a nice job on this! Thank you very much for sharing your talents! You take care now and have a very pleasant day, for each new day is a gift! (see Psalm 118:24)

My MIL and I were just like you two...until I had my daughter. It was like she was not only a blessing but a little bridge that connected us to each other. Now we email and talk all the time! I never would have thought that we'd have the love and friendship that we do now. I know and feel the happiness that you are feeling and it shows through in the card that you made. How special.
I like that you added the glitter to make the gloss shimmery. Nice extra touches.
