My kids and I made 50 of these goody bags for their classmates. I cut out all the red textured c/s by 2 1/2 inches-the same size of a place card. I also scored the middle. I used my scraps of white c/s and ripped it to make the cotton part of the suit. I used a gray marker for the buckle and the kids colored the belt with a black sharpie. I helped write the Ho Ho Ho on the front of the topper, and they signed the back it with their names too.
The snowman ornament:
In the meantime, I spray painted wooden spools white and let dry..had to do it a couple of times to make sure no wood was showing. I attached black ribbon through a bell and tied a knot twice in the bottom. The kids helped with stringing the ribbon and I made the loop to tie a knot for the hanger for the top. I used my puff paint for the face of the snowman, let dry. If the kids would of done the face, they would just have a blob of paint on it. I didnt want that. I signed their names on the back with the year with a black sharpie, as that they can not write that little.
My boys also enjoyed filling the bags up with the goodies. Once filled and ornament in the bag, my older son and I stapled the toppers onto the bags. They really enjoyed making these for their classmates too.
I hope you enjoy these as much as my kids did. TFL!
