I wanted to do a nugget box for my stamp club this month and here's what I came up with. I *heart* the new Ginger Blossom DSP, it's sooooooooo purty! I kept the top of the nugget box very simple, just did a piece of DP matted on River Rock CS, and then I used the large oval punch with the "happiness" stamp from Warm Words because chocolate makes me happy I sponged some Guava ink around the edges of the oval before I stuck it down. The nugget wrappers are sponged with Groovy Guava, and then stamped with the big leafy stamp, the big flower stamp, and the flower group in River Rock, Groovy Guava, and Ruby Red ink respectively.
I cruised the Embrace Life gallery for a while earlier today trying to figure out what I wanted to do for the 3x3 card to go with the nugget box and I came across a bunch of beautiful cards by Karen B Barber, including this one: Think Pink.... by Karen B Barber at Splitcoaststampers
I just loved the effect of embossing the image and then coloring around it so that the image itself is white. So I did just that--I tried Aquapainters, but this worked better with a blender pen dipped in a drop of ink refill. Once the new catty gets here I can see myself buying lots more packs of this luscious patterned paper....mmmmmmmm....only it doesn't taste as good as chocolate. I had to go back to the store to get several more bags of Nuggets because I ate too many of them...oops.
Special thanks to Chris Simon for posting the nugget box templates, she ROCKS and so do the templates! Very easy to follow. Find them here: Forums at Splitcoaststampers
