This card was made for this week's inspiration challenge. When I first looked at the photo of the china, the inside of the bowl caught my eye and I was reminded of the shaving cream background technique, so I started with that and then looked for a floral that would work and ended up using the True Friend set for the main floral image and the leaves. I accented them with a black marker and a gold gel pen. I used the swirls from Priceless and some gold ink to create a background. The circle shapes for the images and greetings seemed a natural choice given the bowls and mugs and plates of the inspiration piece. The gold cs bordering everything mimics the gold edging on the china and the hemp wrapped strip tries to mimic the bamboo pieces that are on the bowl. I'm really pleased with how this turned out. It is interesting, I often start a card with a pretty good sense of where it is going, but this is not true with the inspiration challenges. These really unfold themselves I go along. I guess that what inspiration is all about.
