Today's Way to Use It challenge is to make a monochromatic card- inks, papers, images, embellishments, all of it! This was a fun challenge, I have never made a monochromatic card, and I really like the end result.
I just got some really cool green ribbon out of the $1 bin at Mike's, so the whole card is based around that. I used certainly celery and wild wasabi for the card colors, they match my ribbon perfectly. I cuttled the whisper white bg panel and then ran the certainly celery ink pad over the raised dots. The layers for the main center panel were made using my nestabilities. The top layer is whisper white and I sponged certainly celery around the edges. I ran a piece of the ribbon along the bottom of the panel. The flowers are from Doodle This. They are stamped in black stazon and colored in with prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits. I cut them out and bent the petals (to give the flower dimension), then I adhered them with mini pop dots. I used the crop-a-dile to put the rhinestone brad through the center of the flowers. The sentiment is from All Holidays and is stamped in wild wasabi on whisper white cs. I sponged around the edges with certainly celery and matted it with wild wasabi. The entire sentiment panel is up on mini pop dots.
I wasn't too sure about how this would turn out while I was making it, I thought maybe there is such a thing as too much green! But, I am really happy with how it turned out!
Thank you for looking and I hope you like it!
