I made this for publication to a magazine in early 2007, but that magazine went out of business before the call was printed. Oh well!
-The elephant is stamped first then masked off using a post it note which I store for future use.
-Crayon resist is done for the lightening.
-Sponging is done on land and sky areas after masking of with torn paper.
-Images are colored with re inkers and artist brush.
-Flower/foliage border is heat embossed and colored in with re inkers.
-The border is cut out and equal thickness of cardstock is attached to the top as what the bottom portion rest on so it lies even on the card.
-If I make another card like this IÂ’ll stamp the grass area in very light grey instead of saffron for more definition but this one is gone from my house already! It didnÂ’t look bad in real life but just didnÂ’t photograph well.

Gorgeous Roxie!!! A work of art indeed!! Love that crayon resist lightning , and the entire scene that you have created! I think that the saffron looks great - no changes needed!! Love that foliage border! Such a lovely scene to take in the chill of December! Thanks,Roxie!

Wow, Rox!! What neat images -- I love the stark Savannah ground with the sky and elephant coloring -- the border on the top is beautiful too! Really neat!
Rough day on the Serengeti captured perfectly--he needs to get away from that tree! Great job on the lightening and really like the cool border--terrific scene, Rox!
