As if we needed it, lol. So here's the story...I wanted to do a card with Sidekick Sayings for my stamp club since it's retiring and I've never even used it once. I wanted to do the one with the flower using Almost Amethyst, Close to Cocoa, and Sage Shadow, but I don't have enough Sage Shadow to do it. Then I thought that the design I was thinking of was really really simple, so why not make a set? So I put my thinking cap on to come up with some colors. I think Certainly Celery and Chocolate Chip are both GREAT colors that go with just about everything else, so that's what I started with. I cut out some cardstock and some Prints DSP, and then I kept changing my mind as to how I wanted to do the set--all Celery card bases with different colors of Prints paper on them, or all different card bases with all Certainly Celery Prints? I kept changing my mind...usually after I'd already cut a bunch of cardstock...and I ran out of Chocolate Chip so I switched to Night of Navy...and then I decided I had cut out SO much cardstock that I might as well just go the distance and make TWO sets of these cards. So I cut some more cardstock and now have enough cut to make 12 of each of these six cards (yeah 72 cards!), or at least I will when I get some more Certainly Celery cardstock in.
This is why I should NOT make any decisions at two o'clock in the morning. It is entirely possible that I go absolutely insane at two in the morning on a daily basis, and I just never noticed it before since I'm generally asleep at that time. So anyway, my Sidekick Sayings is getting a last-minute workout here. Merry Christmas to my stamp clubbers and there's a couple pounds more cardstock I've used up! (Moving soon, have a weight limit...)
