Every year my kids and I make an ornament for their tree. This is what we came up this year. I found some wooden spools on clearance at HL for $.18 last year. We painted with Arcylic white paint and sprayed them with a clear sealant. I took a piece of scrap Homespun fabric and ripped it about 12 inches. I took a gold bell and strung the fabric through it. I couldnt find the rustic bells so I just used the gold ones. Tied 2 knots. We added 1st spool and tied 2 knots, added 2nd spool with two knots, and added the 3rd spool also made a loop and tied a knot. We then added the eyes, nose and buttons with paint. I used a black puff paint for the smile. The kids really like making homemade ornaments every year for their tree, so when they get older, they can take them with them. We always make one extra for the family tree as well. Dont forget to date your ornaments with the kids. TFL!
