I stamped the duck, masked it off and then stamped the water puddle and umbrella. I colored the image with Copic Markers, put all the image panels together and sewed around the edges. The background papers are some new ones that I just got, Me & My Big Ideas. After sizing up the main panel, I cut a small strip of the coordinating back side, and trimmed it down using a pair of scalloped edged scissors. After I finished assembling the card, I couldn’t think of a sentiment and found these rub-ons hidden in a stash box. I figured if I used the sentiment Happy, it could be Happy anything. Happy as a duck in water, Happy Birthday or even Happy Birdday – the inside sentiment is as endless as your mind can wander. After I had the card completed, it just wasn’t right. So, I stamped out another umbrella, colored it the same way I did the first and then mounted it on top of the other one with mounting tape.

I like how you added another umbrella to pop it off and the scallops down the side is a wonderful addition. I need to get out my sewing machine - it adds such a nice touch! Sweet!
