The dry embossing was done on Pergamano Parchment Paper, available here: http://www.ellenhutson.com/servlet/Detail?no=327 It's very similar to cardstock vellum, but seems a little more flexible and less likely to tear from the embossing stylus. I drew a light pencil oval for my dry embossing guide, then punched it out with my Giga scallop oval punch. I layered it over Pale Plum cardstock, attaching it with a glue stick. The sentiment is stamped on the Pale Plum layer with Old Olive Craft ink and Stardust embossing powder for more sparkle. I used the large SU! oval punch on the parchment paper over the sentiment.
I've had the little Iris brass stencil for ages and finally used it here for a friend's birthday card who loves Irises. I stenciled the image with SU! pastels, then covered it with translucent embossing paste and sprinkled with DD glitter while the paste was still wet. So very sparkly, which the photo doesn't show very well at all. I punched it out with the Mega scallop oval punch. It's hard to see in the photo, but I also added some dots on the scallops with the white Souffle pen.
Both the iris image and the dry embossed Parchment Paper/Pale Plum layer are on dimensionals. The finished card measures 5 x 6 1/4 inches.

Oh, this is so delicate and pretty! What a wonderful use of the parchment paper and stencil. Would you believe I have this stencil? Someday I might even use it. Beautiful, soft shading on the iris. Just lovely!

Sharon is absolutely correct, I don't know how I missed this one Linda, it's gorgeous! The embossing on the vellum is so soft and luminous. Thank you for sharing this beauty!
