-Pretty Pattern Backgrounder Stamp by Cornish Heritage Farms (available December 1st)
-metal spray bottle from The Dollar Giant (Canada)
-fine sand paper
-Cherry Pink StazOn by Tsukineko
-pink satin ribbon
-piece of scrap paper
Project Instructions:
1. If your metal surface is slick and shiny, it's best to sand it to a "brushed" finish as the ink will set better and your bottle will be less likely to slip while you are stamping it.
2. Hold a piece of sand paper in your hand that is as big as the surface you are trying to alter. Turn the bottle inside the sandpaper creating a horizontal brushed pattern. Wipe with a damp cloth to remove dust and dry completely with a paper towel.
3. Measure the distance around the bottle by wrapping the the scrap paper around it. Cut the paper where the ends of the paper would meet at a seam.
4. Remove the lid from the bottle.
5. Lay the Pretty Pattern stamp rubber side up and note where the paper ends on the stamp. Ink the image with Cherry Pink StazOn and beginning at the very end of the stamp, begin rolling it gently toward the other end. I find it helps to use my finger tips on each end of the bottle to guide and roll it. Continue rolling until you reach the pre-measured spot and then lift the bottle straight up off the image. *Practice the motion and pressure required with a non-permanent dye ink and then wipe clean.
6. Allow to dry, replace the top back on the bottle and add your decorative bow.
I wanted to show you the side of the bottle with the "seam" so that you can see that it's possible to achieve a pretty good result!
