On a recent weekend trip to Maine I came upon a wonderful stamp store called Maine-ly Stamps. The owner was such a lovely woman and she introduced me to these Outlines stamps and demonstrated the gorgeous ornament toppers that can be made with them...of course, I bought tons of stamps, special paper...everything I needed to re-create these beauties. I made 18 ornaments and will be giving them as little extra Christmas presents to my friends and family.
The stamp is stamped twice, once on the Handsome Hunter with Versamark and once on the gorgeous red paper that I used, called St. Nick by Murdock Country Creations, with Versamark as well. Then both are embossed with Gold EP, and cut out. The hunter piece is cut exactly as the stamped image appears, the red is cut omitting the circular part of the stamp (I hope this makes even the tiniest bit of sense). Then, I added Candy Cane Stickles onto them, and once dry, cut holes in the center and layered them on matte gold ornaments.
This was very tedious but I am so happy with the results...hope all the recepients will love them too!!
Thanks so much for looking!!

Isn't she something, the owner! I have stopped in her store all three times I have been in the area and she is always very helpful. Needless to say, I've spent a lot of money in her store! Your ornament is beautiful ... thanks for sharing.

This is really a great idea... HMMMMM.. wonder if something from Pick-A-Petal will work? Think I'll give it a try. Thanks for the idea.

This is beautiful and you have done a superb job of cutting. I am amazed at the neat, crisp lines on the green piece between the circular piece and the triangular piece. Looks like a punch! TFS
