This booklet was done for the TLC142, Japenese Stab Binding. I have never tried to bind anything before. It was interesting, easier than I had anticipated, but still challenging. I used a piece of Spray, Ink and Smash paper that I had from the other day. This determined the color scheme for the image from our lovely hostess set. I added a faux Chinese coin that I made with the retiredAsian Art set. I stamped the coin image with black Stazon ink onto our Brushed Gold CS, I punched the image out and cut out the center with an exacto blade. I layered this onto three more pieces of gold punched circles, cutting the center out of each one. I then edged this with a permanent black marker. The black hemp and gold cord help to balance the coin and add to the oriental feel of this piece.

Wow, this card is really stunning! Love those colors and the background! I would never have guessed that the *coin* is not real, or at least a metal charm. Very cool! TFS!

Thanks for all your lovely comments. The flowers were done with markers. Always Artichoke for the leaves and stems and then I laid a base of Pumpkin Pie down on the flowers and used the Ruby Red Marker to edge some petals and touched the center. Huffed and stamped. Since I scanned it, I have taken a gold gel pen and added some metallic highlights here and there, but you won't see that in this scan because it was an afterthought.
