A few lessons I continue to be taught, but never learn:
1 Do not apply stickles until you are completely finished with the card. Why? I will smear it every time!
2 Wait a little longer than you think you need to for the ink to dry. Why? I will smear it every time.
3 Do not try to fix the smears you create by not waiting. Why? It will look even worse!
Maybe someday I will learn! I doubt it, but I have to hang on to some hope!
The image was sent to me in a RAK some time ago. I am always afraid to use one image, as if . . . I mean when I mess it up, I am stuck! I took a chance and colored this beautiful cardinal image with a water color brush and ink. I mixed garden green and handsome hunter for the foliage. I added just the teeniest highlights on the berries with my signo gel pen. Then I added stickles. And smeared them, yes I did. I got it cleaned up pretty well. The outer edges are zig gold painty, and the sentiment is embossed with detail gold.
I hope you like this!

Karen this is a beautiful card! One other lesson I learned today - assemble your card completely as if it were done, then add your stickles and very carefully set it aside to dry!
Been there, done that, sympathize (lol)! I just call them my prototypes! I am really liking the simple designs like this that say so much--absolutely delightful!
