For the World Showcase, I tried to keep my pages simple and streamlined as a way to create unity in my album, at least for this section.
The background is what I'm most pleased with. It was actually created by using a sheet of textured cardstock, placing a mask on it (Heidi Swapp) and sponging some red ink. Then, with a gold gel pen, I outlined the flowers on the cardstock. I was hoping to get a fabric feel to it and I think it's pretty close to what I was hoping would come out of it.
I'm also happy with the gold Chinese coin I would at the last minute. I was struggling to find something to put in a that spot because it seemed to bare, even with the red mesh, and just as I was looking in a box to find some black corners I have, I came across some gold coins I had *totally* forgotten I had. Couldn't be more appropriate, so I used one.
The title was created with Basic Grey chipboard (Wilma) and a couple of layers of gold embossing powder.
