Finally I have some Thank You cards to give to my hostesses!!! Not that I've needed any yet - my first workshop is a little over a week away.
The base of this card is 1/4 a piece of A4 Ballet Blue CS, folded in half. I used a complete sheet of Glossy White to do the Spotted Background using Bordering Blue, Ballet Blue, Brocade Blue, Night of Navy and Taken with Teal Stampin' Spots. From this complete sheet of A4 CS, I got 6 background pieces plus enough left over to make 12 'sentiment' background pieces (the smaller piece I've used to stamp the sentiment on). The tutorial on the Spotted Background Technique, can be found here:
The mount pieces for the sentiment have just been cut from scraps of Bordering Blue and Taken with Teal. As you can see, I 'jazzed' up all the pieces a little bit by using the Corner Rounder on opposite diagonal corners. And, well, I just love my Flower Punch - inked up the stamp with Taken with Teal and stamped it onto Whisper White then punched them out.
All in all, the entire process took me a little under an hour to complete, including stamping, cutting and putting it all together (once I'd come up with the idea!!). I'm pleased that I can now make something that's quick, easy and ECONOMICAL for my hostesses and it doesn't look too bad either - lol!!!! Would love to know what you think.
TFL.

Love the colors and the opposite corner thing going on there. Really cute. Also like playing the tune game with you on Holly's VSN mini. Congrats on winning the last one.
