Ribbon Binding - be merry

 | | Discovered this beautiful 'Japanese Ribbon Binding' for scrapbook albums at this thread and thought I would try it on a card.
Card size is 4.25 x 5.5 and the card front is scored 1/2 inch over from folded side.
Punched four 1/8 inch holes along the folded edge of card. Started binding in second hole from top leaving a long tail. Worked on top section ending back at top of second hole. Used tail to work bottom section, ending at top of second hole from bottom ~ then tied the bow. Hard to explain but hopefully you got the idea! :)
Stamped snowflakes with VersaMark and embossed with green ep. Sponge distressed around snowflakes and edges of dp.
Sentiment oval is raised up on oval of same size and then layered on larger oval. Brushed Shimmerz Iridescent glue on sentiment oval before stamping words.
