Chalkboard technique on chocolate CS.
Birthday card for my sister.
You can do the chalkboard technique on any dark colored CS like Navy, hunter, burgundy, black & chocolate, vintage violet, Not quite navy.
Stamp first image(s) in White craft ink, then use daubers to apply chalk color of choice. Daub the daubers lightly so that you aren't grabbing the white ink up into your dauber, but firm enough to transfer your chalk color to the images. Use a new dauber for each color. Allow first color to completely dry before stamping your next image for another color. To eliminate the dust particles:
After each color application, Take a dry, soft bristle, flat watercolor brush and sweep it across the images, back and forth quickly. Not all the chalk dust will come off, sometimes it leaves a "haze", just like on a real chalkboard, but that's OK.
Takes some practice.

I LOVE this card! One question...after your ink and chalk dry, do you wipe off the excess with a paper towel or something? I would make a huge mess with the chalk outside the stamped image. Thanks for sharing your great card!

Slap, that was my jaw hitting the ground. I love, love, love your card. Simply amazing. Have never tried or heard of this technique but can't wait to try it. Thanks for the beautiful inspiration. This is definitely one you should send in to get published!

Hi! I have my first workshop on Friday for some who are quite "experienced" with Stampin' Up! and so was nervous about doing something too common! This technique is fantastic ... I will be trying it! I love this site!
