I have had a cute snow frap man in my favorites for almost a year now in anticipation of my 5th grade Sons market day project. The original was created by Imiravete/Laurie and can be seen Here
I changed the scarf from raffia to fabric and the hat from cardstock to felt and added a rim. The frap bottle has acrylic paint inside. I needed to keep cost to a minimum, so the prima center was colored with a copic marker, but I would have liked to use rhinestone brads. We may still add some glitter to the hat, but this is the prototype.
The hat took a lot of trial and error, so I am giving you the details if you care:
Rim and top part of hat were cut from STIFF Felt using #4 and #6 circles (from the outside) on the companion coluzzle. Use the center circle for the top of the hat.
Center of hat was made from 1 1/4" wide Toilet Paper Tube. Cover with SOFT felt cut at app. 1 1/2" x 5 7/8" Glue the felt around the tube leaving the overlap all on the bottom end. Glue center circle from rim to the top.
Slide the rim over the frap bottle lid and glue. Put glue inside the top portion of the overhanging felt and glue to the lid and rim part. Attach ribbon and prima if desired.
