I had a lot of fun with today's sketch challenge. I certainly had to think on my feet.
I got my new Papertrey stamps last Friday, but I hadn't inked up Piece of Cake yet. We'll start there.
I stamped the 3 tiered cake in Blush Blossom, the flowers in Pumpkin Pie and the leaves in Mellow Moss. The centers of the flowers is Gelly Roll Stardust pen (I can't tell you the color exactly, but it's really close to Pumpkin Pie on paper.) I didn't want a candle on top of my cake, even though it's a birthday card, so I stamped the candle in Mellow Moss - skipping the flame and then inked the single flower in Blush Blossom and rolled it in Pumpkin Pie. I cut it out and the bloom is on dimensionals.
My sentiment was supposed to be 1/2"-1" wider... I wanted it where it is now, but it would have overlapped both the cake and edge of the card. So I got out my handy-dandy scissors and cut the panel down to size. The sentiment is stamped in Mellow Moss and Pumpkin Pie and has faux stitching around the outside.
I used my crop-a-dile to punch holes up at the top for my ribbon to go through.
