Since MotherMark is the hostess today, I feel compelled to write a story about my card.
Once upon a time a first grade boy named Brad met a little boy named Sean. They were the best of friends and spent the majority of their youth roaming the streets of a small Southeastern Oklahoma town. They were separated in junior high, but they maintained their childhood plan to be roommates at the University of Oklahoma.
Enter: Carole (aka-TruCarMa)
Carole met Sean at OU. His preppy style, dashing good looks, and impressive GPA proved too much for her to deny. During Sean and Carole's courtship (and eventual marriage), it became obvious that she would have to make the best of the "Brad" situation. Brad grew on her and they became very close friends... so close, in fact, she met and entertained dozens of random women that Brad dated in his quasi-quest to find "the one". Unbeknownst to me, after 10+ years of this, she decided to boycott. She refused to meet another girlfriend unless it really was "the one".
Enter: ME
After dating Brad for quite some time, our relationship became very serious, though I often felt uneasy about the fact that I had never met Carole. Why had I not met this woman that Brad held in such high regard? I finally told Brad that it was a deal breaker. After all, I couldn't marry a man that wouldn't introduce me to his best friend's wife. Eventually, Sean invited us over (much to Carole's surprise). After enjoying a couple of cocktails and light conversation, I excused myself to use the restroom. Naturally, the moment I left the room they started talking about me. It was a defining moment. Carole told Brad to quit #@*#@!* around and marry me. Whew... I passed the Carole test.
The rest, as they say, is history. I married Brad and Carole has become the big sister I never had... which is why I can make her a card with the sentiment "bite me". Heehee... she loves halloween, the color green, and all things twisted and demented. Congrats on being the featured stamper today, sistah!

The colours are vibrant and the green just pops - great card and story.

LOVE this card -- of course -- and LOVE YOU even more! That story made me crack up and tear up; is it any wonder you're the only one who could tame the savage beast known as Uncle Brad?! I'm printing this page out for my scrapbook! Thank you, my dear friend!!!
