I can't tell you how many things I tried for the side strip panel on this card before I finally settled on the ribbon and buckle. This is Beate's sketch challenge here: Blogs at Splitcoaststampers
I stamped Paisley in River Rock on River Rock, which gave some very subtle texture. There is some sponging around the image, but otherwise I think you can see what I did here.

Very nice layout I like how you have some of the brads horizontal and some of the brads vertical. The double matting of the main image looks great as well.
