Yes, I know how to spell wood and would. LOL! This is for Julia's Ways to Use It challenge.
I bought these wooden letters at Wal-Mart. (They're really nice because they're drilled in the back so they can be hung on a wall.) I laid the letters upside down on the backside of the dp, traced them and then cut out the images. Before adhering the dp, I painted the letters with Delta Ceramcoat. When they were dry, I adhered the dp with Mod Podge making sure there were no bubbles. When the Mod Podge was dry, I sanded the edges with a file and inked the edges with a sponge and Positively Pink ink.
I dug through my flower stash and found these beauties that matched the dp. They're layered and held together with a brad and attached to each letter with a bit of Sticky Strip.
I snipped some 1/4" grosgrain ribbon that coordinated with the paper and tied them on each letter.
There you have it. What do you think? I'd love to hear from you.

I think you did a wonderful job! Thanks for the details of how you covered the letters. I have seen these at Wal-Mart, guess I'll have to purchase a few to make for gifts. TFS
