This is my card for today's Way to Use It challenge. Boy, was this a challenge too! I have nothing wood around my house to use so I thought I would have to skip this challenge, but then I remembered that I have toothpicks! So, I decided I would use a flower theme with toothpicks as the stems. The card base is mellow moss cs with an overlay of lavender lace. I stamped a flower pattern from Background Basics in lavender lace on the LL cs. The horizontal strip is mellow moss cs with torn edges. I stamped the friend sentiment from All Year Cheer II in mellow moss and then embossed with iridescent ice ep. For the image panel, the mat is mellow moss and this panel is adhered with 3D mini pop dots. The large flower bloom was made using my cuttlebug and the scribble flower die. The flower was cut from lavender lace cs. The upper layer of the flower is on LL cs that was rubbed with the Versamark pad and then embossed with iridescent ice ep. I tied spring moss ribbon from Joann's around the toothpick stem to act as leaves. The bloom of the flower is adhered with 3D mini pop dots. The grassy hill was made using the edge of my Fiskar's oval shape template and was sponged on (with my Color Box stylus and sponge tip) in mellow moss. I then spread glue over the image and sprinkled with Martha Stewart green agate glitter. I also used the stylus to sponge mellow moss ink around the edge of the whisper white cs. I tied a piece of the spring moss ribbon vertically around the right side of the card. I made 3 small flowers on stems with some sheer white fabric flowers I already had. I rubbed the petals in mellow moss ink and then glued a purple glass bead in the center of each bloom. I glued a short piece of toothpick to each bloom.
