I purchased the magazine file folders from Wal-Mart for $1.86 a piece. Then placed a sheet of glossy paper inbetween each color. I had labels previously and used self adhesive index tabs (also from WalMart) to place the tabs on the glossy paper. I have them sorted by color family and in order of the color chart which I cut out of an old scrapbook catalog. They fit nicely on my cabinet. I have a 2 year old who pulled all of my paper out of my file box so I needed a cheap option until I can have a storage room converted to my stamp room!

I also store my paper in this manner. Instead of glossy paper between each color I use page protectors. I have each page protector labeled with the color behind it. I store smaller pieces of that color in the page protector.

Hi jmartinez 18-
Thanks for the comments ladies. No, I do not think you could do 12 packs in each one. I haven't bought paper in awhile. I'm trying to work through my scraps. But they do make magazine files in all different sizes or you could add a few additional ones. I am a very organized person and it has been hard coming up with something to store my paper. This has worked for me. I can pull it out on the table while I'm making cards or scrapping and then put it up. My two year old got into my filing box I had under my table... He pulled out every file and every sheet of paper and threw it all over the room. Luckily non of it was damaged, nor was he! I now have all this locked up.

Hi bluebearry2429-
you are correct. this is 8 1/2 x 11. you could do the same thing with the cropper hopper set if you wanted to do this same thing with 12x12.

I really like this idea. I went the office supply store today and tried to find Vertical card dividers. I didn't read what you had done with the glossy paper and index tabs. I love this idea! I have been keeping my paper the same way but I need to organize the colors so, I know what I have on hand.
Thanks for the idea!
