A paper napkin ring and personalized place setting for a luncheon shower. To create this paper napkin holder, begin with a sheet of card stock. Turn it landscape orientation (11" x 8.5") and cut three sections, each 3.5". This will allow you to make three napkin holders from one card. Spray adhesive was used to stick the designed paper to the card stock. This can be done before or after the stock is cut into thirds. Next, find the vertical center of your strips (in this case, 4.25" is the middle of the 8.5" strips). Using a paper trimmer, lightly score the card. You could do this freehand with a ruler and back of a blade, but it's important to make your score perfectly perpendicular. If you score crooked, the card will be skewed. The score is probably the trickiest part. Next, use a circle cutter to cut a circle (about 1.5" in diameter) on each side of the scored card. This circle cut should be close to the edge of each end, leaving extra space above on each side for the designs. Save your cut out circles! For this napkin holder, a simple sentiment "Welcome Little One" was stamped onto green paper and adhered. A small Cutietoots baby was stamped with black ink on white paper and colored with markers. It was cut out with scissors and adhered to the card with a pop dot to add dimension. Cut a rough, imperfect circle (by hand) slightly smaller than the perfectly cut leftover circle. Embellish the edge with a marker, again, in an organic, imperfect and wobbly fashion. This smaller circle will be the one the guest's name is written on. It gets mounted with a pop dot onto the perfectly cut circle with the matching paper stock as its background. Finally a 1.25" slit is cut on the top of the card so that the name tag circle can be easily tucked in to it. A paper napkin is then rolled and inserted through both front and back holes.
