This is my card for today's sketch challenge. I used Roxie's dimensions for her card. I really liked today's sketch and I wanted to start playing with ideas for Christmas cards, so off I went.
I bought the ribbon over a month ago thinking that it would be great for my Christmas cards - and then I couldn't think of a card to make. I hate when that happens.
I knew I wanted to use Bravo Burgundy - it's the closest color to the ribbon - but I wasn't sure what other colors to use. So I started pulling green sheets of cs to see what looked the best... Always Artichoke looked great, so that's another color down. I wanted another color, so I started flipping through my book of color challenges to see what I could find that combined Always Artichoke and Bravo Burgundy. I saw CC37 - which added Sahara Sand. Hmmm... Sahara Sand was an alternative to River Rock... SWITCH!!!
To accent the ribbon with more silver, I embossed my sentiment from So Many Sayings and the main snowflake in silver EP and held my ribbon in place with silver brads.
I'm not sure about the sentiment. I'm thinking of switching it out with "Sending Joy" from Papertrey's Holiday Treats.
