This is a card I made for the monthly Global Gals. The theme for August was beach. I have been collecting things on the beaches we have visited for years and had fun using them on the cards.
The bottom of the card is real sand I got form the beach that is about 1/2 mile from my house.
The 'netting' is cheescloth I stained with Distress Ink Vintage Photo. Then I kind of tore the edges of it to look more rustic.
The little drift wood is also from the beach near my house. The shells are from NC Outter Banks and FL on trips there visiting family
The paper is some homemade that looks a little marbled. Thought it worked well as watery looking.
Had a lot of fun making these, but they weigh a ton from the sand!
