For the past five years, my DH and I have joined a group of CW dance friends in the pine country for a rodeo weekend in Payson, AZ. This is a treat for a number of reasons. One, weÂ’re from Phoenix, so itÂ’s nice to get away from the HEAT. Second, we get to relax and visit with friends who we donÂ’t see very often. And last, although we donÂ’t always make it to the rodeo, we DO always go to the Oxbow Saloon where they have 3 bands and we dance and have fun!
Every year, IÂ’m the official *photographer* and always take a group photo using the auto timer so I can get in the picture too (IÂ’m in the blue plaid shirt 2nd from left!) The photo is much better IRL. I always give a copy of the pic to my friend, Deb, who hosts the get-togethers. Sometimes I put it in a frame, sometimes she does. This year, I decided to make the frame and will give it to her as a belated birthday gift, since her bÂ’day was a few days after that weekend in August.
Details:
-I used Cosmo Cricket dp for most of the frame, added some stamping.
-The *Friends* at top I stamped with alpha letters on Cosmo paper which I then tore and distressed, then put that on Ruby Red cs which I also tore and inked. Punched ends with SU slot punch and threaded the ribbon through.
-Made the *Wanted* conch (medallion) using SU paper and Cosmo dp. The bottom layer is a cardboard flower I punched out of a cereal box 3x to which I added Cosmo paper, and ink distressed sides. ItÂ’s popped up.
-Top right *corner * made by cutting shape from a cereal box and adding dp with distressing and snaps.
-I threaded charm onto hemp, then made the *lasso* which I applied with a glue dot, then glue dotted the *corner* piece over it.
-Title plate uses SU Sage and Cosmo paper, edges of sage inked with cocoa. ItÂ’s popped up.
-Sides, inner edge and back of frame are painted with acrylic paint and have a coat of Mod Podge.

OMG! This frame is gorgeous! It's like something you would pay big bucks for at a boutique! Oh, so much detail! How fun that you have a photo so appropriate for the theme of the frame! Your friend is gonna love it! I'm from Phoenix too! Will we ever get a break from this heat?!?!
