Made for the WT129 'Better Sharpen Up' challenge where you had to use pencil crayons. A really fun challenge, I really enjoyed it! One of my fave ways to use pencil crayons is to colour in shrink plastic so I made a pair of mouse earrings as well as a card.
I used frosted shrink plastic, stamped with black StazOn on the glossy side and coloured with the pencils on the matt side before cutting out and shrinking. I found out last year to stamp your images in the same direction on your shrink plastic. I stamped on scraps and one must have been with the 'grain' and one against it 'cos I ended up with one long skinny mouse and one short tubby mouse!
I'm trying three new things here - my new Fiskars scallop blade, some new CS which is 50% recycled and the snowflake brads. I was so excited to get the scallop blade at a fab sale price of £2.35 instead of £7.99, what a bargain! I'm liking the CS too, it has a nice texture to it. The brads are made of really soft metal so I was able to cut off the arms and I've attached them to the card with tiny 3d foam dots so there is nothing poking through the card front.
