For Ways to Use it - pencil crayons, (for which I raided my daughter's supply and the Sketch challenge. Makes me feel like an artist, I have always loved the dimension you can bring in coloring.
I used her pencil crayons and SU metallics for some highlighting which probably won't show up on the picture. I hand altered the sentiment to make *Harvest* capitalized. Weathered is stamped around each image to give it that vintage look.
A meaningful card for me. My husband, after being treated with chemotherapy for a rare type of leukemia called Hairy Cell Leukemia this spring, was given the release from the Oncologist on Monday. The chemo did it's job and he is in remission, and can go back to LIFE! We are so very grateful and blessed. His whole diagnosis and treatment was probably the reason I began to post on SCS, life is too short to wonder if you are creative *enough*, it's time to just embrace creating! I have been convicted anew to harvest each day.
I believe this is the card I will send to Maddy knowing she is right in the middle of this battle too.

Christine! I am so happy for your wonderful news on Monday! And also so happy that you and your husband can start all over with relief and begin to *harvest* your days together. What a wonderful card...whether you decide to send it to Maddy or hang on to it as a wonderful keepsake from your day on Monday, it is special, beautiful and meaningful...
