I was totally inpired to recreate today's inspiration challenge!!! Of course, putting my on spin on it as well...I felt as if the inspiration screamed Asian.
It took my a little while to create the pieces, but I absolutely love how they came out!!!
Hmmm...let me see if I can explain how I did this...
First, I cut out squares of what I thought each of the colors were in the inspiration piece...I made the center piece slightly larger.
2- Old Olive
1- Really Rust
4- More Mustard
2- So Saffron
I then took each piece and try to recreate what was in the inspiration...I begin with the Dogwood stamp in Artfully Asian, used the SU marker-Really Rust, colored the flowers, huffed, and stamped it. I then wet the entire square with my aqua painter. Using the marker, I colored in the flowers. Next I dabbered Chocolate Chip around the square and re-wet for it to blend. Taking the stamp again, this time using the leaves and Old Olive, I stamped where needed. Adding finishing touches with the aqua painter. Finally, I used the heat tool to dry.
I stamped tranquilty from Kanji in Staz-on on the center piece to give it a true Asian feel.
I used dementionals for each layer of the center piece and only the top layer the the surrounding pieces.
I chose BBlack as my base so as to make each piece pop out.
Whew...first time I ever really explained what I did...hope I did ok and made sence.
Soooo...tell me...what do you think???

What a dreamy creation! Love the calming effect of the aqua painter blending, love the bb, and all the beautiful squares and how nicely balanced this is! Stunning
