Ok - I'm making this for a friend's 3 and 5 year old birthday party, and it just seems to be missing something - I want it to stay on the "boyish" side (i.e. less hearts, etc), but it just seems to need one more element.. any ideas??
Oh, and you can't tell from the picture, but the paper is delightfully crispy and wrinkled with about 1/2"-3/4" of crunches from the flame (yep, I used fire - it was somewhat satisfying actually...) ;)

Were is the pirate? You could cut him out and pop him up in the bottom corner opposite the ship. Otherwise very cute card and if you hadn't have asked what it was missing I wouldn't have been looking to add anything

You could always put the pirate inside the card...Kinda like a little surprise to the recpient. Otherwise, I don't think it needs anything....Just so very cute for a little boy (or a big boy! Ha!) TFS!

I like the pirate inside idea - maybe that's the element it needs. I was going to do something where the paper is similarly distressed inside, and I could attach a pirate to it then too. Good idea! Thanks.
