I made this card for my BIL, SIL, and niece who recently had to put down their beloved Rottweiler. Very sad.
The bone is actually a pet tag that we made at one of those kiosks at WalMart. It reads 'In Loving Memory of Zooka'. I thought that they might want to remove it from the card to affix it to the urn containing Zooka's ashes.

I want to case this idea from you. We just had to put down a beloved German Shorthair Pointer named Abbie. She was poisoned a couple of weeks ago and sadly had to be put down. What a wonderful tribute and card for a pet owner.
We had our dear abbie cremated also and this was a poem the Crematory sent to us:
Faithful Friend
Shadowing our footsteps were
four little paws,
Governed by faith and
devotion's great laws.
Thus it had been for for many a year,
united in step till death did appear
What man could learn
about serving a cause,
from our Faithful Friends
and their devoted paws.

Brought tears to my eyes, as we had to put down a favorite pet a few years ago. The memories just never seem to go away, and tears still come now and then. The poem was lovely, and I especially like the idea of the dog tag. We buried our urn under her favorite shade tree and made her a headstone from a piece of marble in our yard. This card is beautiful!! TFS!!

This is so sweet of you to recognize their loss, and a wonderful idea with the bone shaped tag. As the parent of a "fur" child I feel their pain and something like this would mean so much to me. Thanks for sharing.
