I started out with the wonderful orange flower that I colored with my copics and then I saw the party $1 stamp so I stamped that and added a little green to it. Which matched the wild wasabi paper so I added a couple of layers of black and wasabi to accent it. Then a touch of ribbon to the corner and it was time to find the perfect background paper. I love this doodlebug black flourish paper! I cut it to 4x4 but then didn't want that much of the orange base to show so I kept looking in my scraps of papers and found the green print which I matted on black. To finish it off I added a birthday rub on from Deja Views and some orange crystals.
Note: I haven't found anyone in town that carries the palette ink that I want for using with my copics but I've found that if I use black stazon and hit it with the heat gun a bit then I'm able to color with my copics without the stazon bleeding.
