Made Elmo for my grand daughter who turns 2 on Sunday. She is an Elmo fanatic!
I used only the coluzzle and punches. For the body I used real red and the round coluzzle. For his nose (summer sun)I used the smallest round coluzzle, and the eyes (white glossy paper) are the next size up on the round coluzzle. The center of his eyes are basic black and a large hole punch. I took white edged red ribbon for his scarf. Took the small oval coluzzle and did a half for his mouth. After attaching I took the black marker and finished his mouth. I took a white cardstock piece and used the small oval for the tag. Wrote Happy 2nd Birthday with a micro fine end for the writing.
The background is a small diamond pattern in grey and then barely banana behind that.
I hope you like my card. I am definitely going to make more of this card. Thanks for looking

Love your card! My little granddaughter will be 2 Sept 16 and SHE loves Elmo too! So I think I will gratefully use your instructions and make her one too - maybe will give it a go this afternoon. She lives in OK and we live in OR and it breaks my heart to not be with her on her birthday. Thanks so much for the idea and instructions. Love it!

Hi, Artha: Thanks for your note. I hope your granddaughter likes the card. Here are several more specifics for making this card. I used the 5th circle from center on the coluzzle for the head of Elmo and half of the same size circle for his body. Iused half of the smallest oval coluzzle for the mouth. I wished I had a larger circle punch for his eyes, but I made due with what I had. I had so much fun creating this little guy. I could picture him in my mind and went to town playing with the idea. Thanks for your note, and I hope you have as much fun making him as I did playing with the idea.
I absolutely love your card! Mind if I copy it? My grandson is an Elmo fanatic too. He'll also be 2 in about 3 weeks and I've been trying to come up with ideas for a special card for him. You are so clever!
