I am a new SU Demonstrator and these are the first projects I did at a Open house/Stamp Camp.
The images are stamped first with versa mark- then used pastels and daubbers to bring the flower images out.
I liked that I only had a limited amount of supplies to worry about- my first time demonstrating.
I thought it was a pretty easy technique... but there was one poor lady who just kept making blobs... I tried to stress "lightly daubing" but she didn't get it.
Everyone else seemed to enjoy themselves.. but I was disappointed- I didn't get any orders/or workshops from it. Two weeks later- - some of the ladies have told me how they have already used their cards...
I tried to host another "stamp camp"/ workshop yesterday and only my up-line showed up.
So I am a bit frustrated at how to get my bussiness rolling.
( my up-line is more of a "hobby" SU person. She only has one Hostess group- and that is how she stays active.) So she is not really helpful on the busness end.
any advice would be appreciated!
oh- thanks for looking!

Beautiful cards. I find that the poppin' pastels technique is always a WOW at workshops. I am sorry about the lack of orders or bookings. I don't have too much in the way of advice as I have been a hobby demo up till recently. But there is one question you have to ask yourself regarding getting bookings - DID YOU ASK each person to book a workshop with you? If you don't ask, they can't say yes! :-) Give it a try. Being new is an advantage -you can play on their sympathies and ask them to help you get your business started or to "Practice" on them. People love to help others - it's just human nature I think (especially in stampers). Good luck to you! I can't wait to see more of your work!
