My brother in law just celebrated his 50th b-day. I have a hard enough time making guy card,m, but this card suffered many injuries! My hand twitched as I was cutting the gold, I smudged black ink...and the extra image ( a medallion from Mostly Flowers) would not fit because I printed the verse too large. I did not have time to re-do, so I felt a bit uncomfortable bringing this to his surprise party (2 weeks before his birthday! No wonder I didn't have time!)
I did make up the verse on my own...read it again...the inside says; But amazingly you will always grow older than us!
That's my favorite part of the card!

Great idea. You should try this again. It will be beautiful! I know how you feel. I often finish a card before I see the mistakes. But, on the bright side, the imperfections are what give our art character and make them true gifts of love.
I think the sentiment is great! It sucks when a card does not turn out how we wanted to. I agree, give it another go, to sooth your own ego. No one else probably even noticed!

Even with the *mistakes*, this is a really pretty card! I love the concept and it would be gorgeous if *perfect.* But then I would feel totally inadequate so I really appreciate you posting this one! :-)
